How I doubled my client's profits
My client has a crystal jewellery online store that she was struggling with; she had a hard time turning your social engagement into sales back in December 2022. After trying Paid Advertising for the first 2 months and not making any profits, she needed an affordable, scalable approach to boost consistent revenue and grow her brand fast. That’s where I came in.
Here’s HOW I helped her double her profits in just 1 month -
Got clear on her brand & audience.
My client had a health & wellness brand before she transitioned to selling handmade crystal jewelry. She wanted to combine the two together but it just wasn’t clicking. The audience for health & wellness couldn’t figure out how crystals fit into their lifestyle and hence weren’t interested in buying them. So I shifted our focus to building a separate audience for her crystals. Started incorporating content to help her audience understand how crystals can help in their everyday lifestyle, special occasions, love life, self-care care, and more.
Creating a Social Media Marketing Strategy
I narrowed down where her audience hangs out & how I could reach them - through email, SMS, Instagram, & Facebook. Since her audience is over 40 years old, I decided to skip TikTok. She has an account where she’ll post occasionally, but it was not a primary focus point when I started.
IG Strategy -
Deciding on our goal (other than sales) - Yes, we all want to make sales, but sales come when you have a nurtured and engaged audience. So I narrowed down our goal for the first month to building brand awareness and engaging with our audience.
Creating different types of content - I experimented with creating different types of content, like educational, entertainment, infographics, photos, etc., and posting consistently.
Checking out the analytics & IG insights - I checked for what content got the most shares, the most interaction, comments & other forms of engagement so I could duplicate that in the next month.
Email Marketing -
I added a lead magnet on her website - 10 Must-Have Crystals For Beginners, to help grow her email list. But the real list builder was running a Giveaway. I created a landing page to collect emails; anyone who signed up went into the pool to win a $50 Gift Card from her store. This was a game-changer for her. Her email list grew to 150 subscribers in just 72 hours!
With emails, she was focusing a lot on Full Moon, New Moon, and Mercury Retrograde kind of content that she was sending out to her old fitness audience, and not getting much engagement.
But with the giveaway and lead magnet, I had a whole new set of subscribers ready to target.
So in the second month, I decided to go hard & do a little experiment. Instead of sending out weekly educational/engagement emails, I sent out 12 emails. Maybe too much?! We certainly didn’t get any unsubscribers!
We kept the usual Full Moon and New Moon emails and reminders, but did A/B testing for everything else. We picked up a theme of crystals we wanted to promote and did A/B testing with subject lines, CTAs, and offers. It worked. Our sales grew by 87%!!

Not only did we make over $700 just from email marketing that month, but her AOV (average order value) went from $20 to $48. All because we were strategic on WHAT emails we were sending out.

Welcome Email Series - Setting up a 5-part Welcome email series to welcome the new subscribers who join the list.
Abandoned Cart Sequence - 6-part series to recover all the lost carts and abandoned checkouts.
Post-Purchase Nurture - 2 emails offering crystal care tips and cross-selling to other products.
